carnival and community parades

In Toto Theatre have gained something of a reputation in the last few years for animating community parades and taking part in large scale processions such as The Thames Festival, here on our doorstep.  We can weave our magic on to the streets, mixing the rousing rhythms of our street music with stunning visual delights.

Carnival arts Workshops

These inspiring sessions can be offered for all ages of participants, perhaps as taster workshops or can be commissioned as part of a larger programme of activity, perhaps culminating in a specific community celebration.  We can share our expertise to realise participants' creative ideas, engaging with a variety of community groups to bring theatrical wonder to your event.

Make an Instant Parade!

The Banana Rumbas is a small family-friendly street band and masquerade, a combination of infectious music with vaudeville and physical theatre elements -  stilt-walkers, mimes/puppeteers with eccentric movement …  Kids and adults alike are naturally drawn to the exciting animated figures, clever kinetic giant storybook props and sculptural objects and can join in with the procession on the day, even if they have not participated in any workshops.
