Brother Croaky - Brother Tabby, Sister Puss and hen

Brother Croaky is based on a playful African-Caribbean story about a very boastful frog who drives his forest friends to distraction with his very loud croaking!  The story is told using an array of puppets with exotic instruments and sound makers in an exuberant and highly interactive way.  Meet Anansi the spider, Brother and Sister Puss, Mother Owl and a whole host of forest animals, insects and birds.  Join in with the music as we create a tropical night song together and help put the forest animals to sleep after the story.

STEP FESTIVAL (Southwark Theatres' Education Partnership) PERFORMANCE 2005

Accompanying workshop: education programme - workshops

"The performance was excellent!  The children were very involved and that was a great thing for them at their stage in their development.  They were introduced to different kinds of animals, where they live, their habitat.  And at the end of the show, the children were able to do their own dramatisations.  They will not ever forget it!

"it was a wonderful experience for everyone..In Toto always had the children in mind...When the children did something spontaneously, they included it in their performance..lovely music, lovely costumes..they all got something out of it.  They have all taken something from the show into their play.. what they did not understand, they made up in their own imaginations.  There was something for everyone"

"Speaking and listening skills are greatly enriched by performances such as this.  We hope that there will always be something of such high quality for nursery children available in STEP festivals.  I will recommend it to my colleagues"
